FALSE COLOR 1.0.0
An exposure meter for DaVinci Resolve Studio, in stops from middle grey.

WHAT IS IN HERE
  PPT_FALSE_COLOR.dctl the tool itself
FALSE-COLOR-manual.pdf every setting explained, plus recipes

INSTALL, SHORT VERSION
  1. Put PPT_FALSE_COLOR.dctl in Resolve's LUT folder:
       macOS /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/LUT/
       Windows C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\LUT\
  2. Colour page -> LUTs -> Update Lists. Or restart Resolve.
  3. Effects library -> ResolveFX Colour -> DCTL, dragged onto a node.
Then pick PPT_FALSE_COLOR from the DCTL List dropdown.
Do NOT right-click the node and pick it from the LUT menu - that runs it
with default settings and gives you no controls at all.
  4. Give it its own node at the very END of the chain, after every grade and
     after any Colour Space Transform.
  5. Set INPUT COLOR SPACE and INPUT GAMMA to what is arriving at that node.
They are set separately, because they travel separately: after a Colour
Space Transform to a Rec.709 display the gamma is 2.4, not Rec.709. These
two are what decide whether the reading is true.

Needs DaVinci Resolve STUDIO 18 or newer. The free edition does not run DCTLs.
